In October 2025, over 50 guests joined Innovation for Agriculture at Gamage Hall Farm, hosted by Innovation for Agriculture Chair Paul Westaway, for a Climate Farm Demo event exploring how farms can work together and connect with local communities to become more environmentally sustainable.
A sunny farm walk and local pulled pork lunch set the scene for practical discussions on carbon auditing, energy use, and waste management. Anna Woodley from Trinity AgTech highlighted how farm-level carbon audits can turn environmental performance into measurable progress, while Jenny Phelps MBE from FWAG, Jill Matthews from (Gloucestershire County Council and Arran Redman from Innovation for Agriculture shared examples of farms leading the way in renewable energy, circular food systems, and resource efficiency.
The takeaway: Farms can play a major role in reducing emissions and driving local climate solutions—but progress depends on engagement from both the farming community and the public.
