BroilerNet is conducting cost-benefit analysis of broiler management systems to be able to provide producers with information on whether the recommended practices are worth investing in for bird health, welfare or environmental sustainability gains.
About BroilerNet
BroilerNet aims to enhance the resilience and sustainability of the broiler sector by discussing and highlighting innovative practices to address common challenges relating to bird health, welfare and environmental sustainability. BroilerNet is working across 13 countries (UK, Ireland, Finland, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Greece, Germany, Sweden, Slovenia and the Netherlands). The data is needed to enable the assessment of cost-effectiveness of practices within UK contexts.
What benefit does this have?
BroilerNet will recommend good practices inspired from experiences across Europe. Providing UK data to inform the cost-benefit analysis could help you to decide whether the recommended practices are worth investing in for bird health, welfare or environmental sustainability gains. Without baseline data, this UK cost-benefit indication will not be possible.
How can you help?
To complete this, BroilerNet requires some cost information for conventional, free range, and organic systems. If you are willing and able to provide the requested information, you can complete the information directly yourself online: https://sggw-console.limesurvey.net/762625?lang=en.
Alternatively, you can contact the UK Network facilitator, Laura (laurap@i4agri.org or 07731084426) to arrange a call to help complete the form.
