Recent research is reshaping early-life feeding strategies, not just how much milk calves drink, but what’s in it. Fat provides energy and vital fatty acids that influence growth, gut health, and immunity.

Trouw Nutrition’s latest studies show that aligning calf milk replacer fat composition more closely with natural bovine milk delivers measurable benefits, including:

  • Stronger gastrointestinal development

  • Improved energy uptake and early growth

  • Better faecal consistency and reduced diarrhoea

  • Enhanced rumen activity for smoother weaning

Join us to discover how innovative approaches to fat composition, especially the inclusion of short-chain fatty acids, are setting new standards in calf nutrition.
