Ben Harmans beef system is in transition and he’s looking to manage grassland in a new way. Therefore, we are bringing livestock farmers and an industry experts together to discuss how to develop the pasture fed beef system.

Join us to discuss:

  • How to implement an efficient rotational grazing system
  • The challenges faced when moving to a new grazing system
  • Using grazing management to support a profitable and sustainable beef enterprise
  • How the Charolais x Wagyu became key to the farm’s success

Ben is a 4th generation farmer with a mixed farm of 385Ha spread over four sites on top of the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire. He has both pedigree and commercial cattle and retails meat through his ‘ChagyuTM’ brand, he also runs 170 ha of arable land. Ben is Chair of the National Beef Association (NBA) and the Cattle Health Certification Scheme (CHeCS), he also sits on the Beef and Lamb Sector council at AHDB, and the Red Tractor Beef and Lamb board. Ben is a keen advocate of sustainability across all three pillars but would be the first to accept he has a long way to go.
